How to Make Body Wash

Sharing is caring!

*RoK Handmade does not sell body wash, but we do sell soap here.

Have you ever had trouble finding a body wash that works for your skin? So did I, and I needed a body wash that would work for my family, and that’s when I found this recipe for homemade body wash.

Homemade Body Wash

It feels amazing and the whole family loves it. You can add different ingredients like coconut milk, honey, oatmeal powder, or anything else, but below is a recipe that’s moisturizing as well.

Supplies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 – 3/4 C Castile Soap
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Glycerin
  • 2 tbsp Castor Oil
  • 1/4 C tbsp Aloe Vera Gel (optional)
  • 3 tbsp C Jojoba Oil or another carrier oil
  • 1 tbsp Vitamin E oil (optional)
  • 20 drops Essential Oil (if Castile Soap is unscented)
Body Wash and Soap

For an 8 ounce pump bottle, fill 50% of it with Castile Soap (I use Dr. Bonner’s Lavender Scented). Next, add the remaining ingredients and slowly stir. If you need to add more of an ingredient, add more of the Castile soap. If you don’t like a particular carrier oil, you can make an infused one (I’ll post on that later). Let it sit for about 20 minutes and then use. Your family will love it!
